Indian Rune Sets in Pouches
Rune Stones are one of the mystical worlds true mysteries. Nobody can be truly sure exactly where they came from and when.
There are many theories on the subject but it is believed by some that they were first used any time from 2000BC to 100AD by tribes such as The Goths and other Germanic Tribes.
Every Indian Rune Set include 25 stones: 24 with a rune symbol and one without it.
Rune stones are used as an oracle of divination – a way to predict a future.
They come in a set of 24 ancient alphabetic symbols, can be made of different materials and are usually kept in a pouch or box.
The 24 runes are organised into three sets of eight runes called aettir (singular aett), meaning families. The first runes of each of the three aettir are Fehu, Hagalaz, and Tiwaz, also called the Mother Runes.
Unlike modern alphabets, runes have meanings and are tied to universal forces that change and evolve with time, making them just as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago.
Rune meanings are subjective and often interpreted in different ways depending on the reader.
Each rune contains three aspects:
The symbol itself, what the shape represents
The name and what the word means, along with its letter value and sound
The energy and spirit embodied by the rune.
This energy or spirit can be different depending on the composition of the rune, so an methyst Rune would be different to a Rose Quartz Rune, a Rose Quartz would be different to a Black Onyx and so on.
Runes can be used in different ways and can be employed for specific questions or on a general daily basis, so whichever you choose, it will serve you in a specific way.
