Witches’ balls originated in the 17th century among cultures where harmful magic and those who practiced it were feared. Historically, witch balls were hung in cottage windows to ward off evil spirits, witches, evil spells, ill fortune, and bad spirits. Each ball is blessed and contains a spell cast by Belle, it has also been charged in moonlight.
