Belle's Place
Belle’s Place evolved from my love of the natural world and my interest in the spiritual. Aromatherapy, Herbalism and Spiritualism seem to go hand in hand. For many years, like too many others, I suffered from depression and a lack of self-worth. I had a change in my life and that was the catalyst to do something about it that would not only help myself, but others too; and that is why Belle’s Place exists.

What is Holistic?
Holistic is a term that refers to the whole person, mind, body and spirit. An Holistic approach to life is working with all three aspects to keep yourself happier and more fulfilled. I do this through a mix of Aromatherapy, Herbalism and Spiritualism. I don’t cure anything, but I do make things that have real world benefits and can help with symptoms of everyday issues.
Belle makes it
All Belle’s Place branded products are made personally by Belle. There is no factory, no workforce or machines. She sometimes hires a kitchen to make larger batches when needed, but mostly things are made at home, in our kitchen. Everything Belle makes is vegan, natural and of the very best quality and we will never put our name to something we would not be happy to receive ourselves.
The power of Moonlight
Everything Belle makes is made with genuine care. As an example, Spiritual Protection Oil Blend is only made under a full moon. It is blended, enchanted with a protection spell and left to charge in moonlight before it is bottled and labelled by hand. This level of attention and care is given to everything that Belle makes and that is why so many people feel real world benefits from her products.
Our History
Belle’s Place as a business began in August 2023 with a market stall, a few wax melts, spell and ritual boxes, bottles of essential oil blends, boxes of bath sachets and a little tin of Balm.
The market stall was initially in Bishop’s Stortford Market every Thursday and Saturday, we expanded to Epping, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge until December 2024 when we found a new home in Jackson Square Shopping Centre, Bishop’s Stortford. We soon outgrew our space and in August 2025 we moved into our very own shop.
The shop has allowed us to sell many more things from our website and is also populated with crystals, clothes and locally made products. We also now have treatment centre and work with a number of different partners who offer Reflexology, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, and a host of other holistic and spiritual treatments. Alongside that we have tarot readings, social events, and we are developing workshops and training courses including creative writing, spiritual development circles and tarot reading.
Things have not always been smooth and we have made a few mistakes along the way but we genuinely love what we do and are fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful and gifted people.
Belle’s Place Holistic is an opportunity for us to share things that we love. We genuinely believe in each item here, its provenance and its quality, and we intend to keep adding as we find and create new things.
Belle’s Place may never make us stinking rich, but it does make us happy and, just in case you are wondering who “us” is? I am Dave, Belle’s husband, chief gopher and bottle washer. It’s nice to meet you.
